This $21.5 million project widened Little Rock Road, improving the connection to Wilkinson Boulevard. The most challenging part was working in/around existing airport traffic, and ensuring as minimal of an impact as possible on traffic flow.  This was especially difficult during heavy airport traffic periods through the holidays.

Project Highlights

• Project totaled 3 bridges, including a bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
• Widening of existing roadway and construction of new alignment.
• 360,000 yds of embankment
• 2 box culverts
• Existing bridge deck modifications
• 7,806 lf of RCP
• Erosion control, water, sewer, asphalt paving, curb & gutter, overhead signage, and electrical work.
